The Porsche 911 991.2 Carrera and Carrera S marked a significant transition in the 911's engineering history, replacing the naturally aspirated flat-six of the 991.1 generation with a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six producing 370 horsepower in the Carrera and 420 horsepower in the Carrera S. The forced-induction transition brought a fundamentally different exhaust system design requirement to the 911 platform, where back pressure management downstream of the turbocharger outlets and thermal handling at elevated sustained temperatures replace the naturally aspirated breathing efficiency considerations of the previous generation. TNEER engineers this valvetronic system specifically for the 991.2 Carrera and Carrera S, with tube routing and mounting geometry developed to the rear-engine turbocharged flat-six layout of the platform.

Each section is formed from single-piece high-grade stainless-steel tubing using robotic pipe bending technology, producing continuous tube geometry throughout the system without the weld joints and flow disruptions of multi-segment construction. On a twin-turbocharged platform, exhaust gas pressure consistency downstream of the turbine outlets directly influences turbocharger efficiency and mid-range response under sustained load. The system installs to all factory mounting locations on both the Carrera and Carrera S, requiring no structural modification and maintaining correct chassis alignment throughout.

The valvetronic rear mufflers are managed through the TACS, TNEER's proprietary App Control System, which gives the driver full manual authority over valve position through a dedicated application interface. The TACS allows valve control independent of driving mode or vehicle operating condition, placing acoustic output entirely under the driver's authority at any time without requiring integration with the 991.2's existing PASM or drive mode architecture. Valves closed, the system maintains a composed tone appropriate for road use while retaining the character of the turbocharged flat-six at partial throttle. Valves open, the full acoustic output of the 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat-six is unobstructed and responds directly to throttle input and engine speed. The tonal difference between the Carrera and Carrera S at full output reflects each variant's specific state of tune, and the TACS makes that acoustic experience available on demand on every drive.

Two tip configurations are available to complete the system at the rear fascia. The quad silver tips provide a clean, high polish finish consistent with the 991.2's precise aesthetic. The carbon fiber tips present an alternative for owners whose build direction calls for exposed carbon at the rear, complementing both standard and modified 991.2 builds.

Optional Downpipe Configurations:

For owners who want to address the primary restriction point in the exhaust path, TNEER offers two downpipe specifications that deliver meaningful performance and acoustic improvement beyond what the valvetronic muffler system alone provides.

  • The race downpipes remove the factory catalytic converters immediately downstream of the turbocharger outlets, where back pressure reduction has the most direct effect on turbine behavior, spool characteristics, and mid-range torque delivery. On the 991.2's twin-turbocharged flat-six, the relationship between downstream restriction and turbocharger efficiency is immediate and measurable at every point in the rev range. These components are intended for closed course and off-road use.
  • The 200-cell sport downpipes retain a high-flow catalytic substrate in place of the factory units, reducing restriction significantly while maintaining a level of emissions compliance appropriate for street-driven builds. For 991.2 Carrera and Carrera S owners who require a balance between full-system performance and daily usability, the 200-cell specification delivers a substantive upgrade within a practical operating profile.

All downpipe components are fabricated from high-grade stainless steel and engineered to the same fitment standard as the valvetronic muffler system.
