TNEER Valvetronic Exhaust System for Porsche 718 GT4 RS / Spyder RS 2022-2025
The Porsche 718 GT4 RS and 718 Spyder RS represent the most extreme expression of the naturally aspirated flat-six 718 platform, extracting 493 horsepower from the 4.0-litre unit through a direct intake system borrowed from the 911 GT3, free-breathing individual throttle bodies, and an exhaust system tuned specifically for maximum output and acoustic character. The RS specification raises the GT4's redline to 9,000 RPM, producing a naturally aspirated flat-six acoustic experience that is among the most compelling of any current production Porsche road car. On a platform developed to this standard, the exhaust system is a more consequential component than on the standard GT4, where the RS's specific state of tune, higher redline, and individual throttle body intake architecture place greater demands on exhaust flow efficiency and acoustic delivery at the top end of the rev range. TNEER engineers this valvetronic system specifically for the 718 GT4 RS and 718 Spyder RS, with muffler architecture and mounting geometry developed to the exact mid-engine chassis layout shared by both body configurations.
Each section is formed from single-piece high-grade stainless-steel tubing using robotic pipe bending technology, producing continuous tube geometry throughout the system without the weld joints and flow disruptions of multi-segment construction. The system installs to all factory mounting locations on both the GT4 RS and Spyder RS, requiring no structural modification and maintaining correct chassis alignment throughout.
The ECU-controlled valvetronic mufflers manage acoustic output through the 718 GT4 RS and Spyder RS's existing vehicle architecture without secondary controllers or aftermarket modules. Valves closed, the system maintains a composed tone appropriate for road use while presenting more of the naturally aspirated flat-six's character than the factory exhaust allows at any throttle position. Valves open, the full acoustic output of the 4.0-litre flat-six at 9,000 RPM is unobstructed. On a mid-engine platform where the exhaust exits directly behind the cabin and the engine breathes through individual throttle bodies at a 9,000 RPM redline, the acoustic experience with valves open is immediate, mechanical, and without parallel in the current 718 range. The RS's specific exhaust note at full throttle near the redline is distinct from both the standard GT4 and the 911 GT3 it shares its engine with, reflecting the mid-engine mounting position and the RS's specific exhaust tuning. This system presents that character without the attenuation the factory exhaust imposes.
Two tip configurations are available to complete the system at the rear fascia. The dual silver tips provide a clean, high-polish finish consistent with the GT4 RS's motorsport-derived aesthetic. The carbon fiber tips present an alternative for owners whose build direction calls for exposed carbon at the rear, complementing the GT4 RS's extensive carbon fiber bodywork and aerodynamic components.
Optional Race Link Pipe:
For owners who want to address the exhaust path between the factory headers and the valvetronic muffler section, TNEER offers a race link pipe that replaces the factory component with a higher-flow specification. The race link pipe removes restriction at the connection point between the primary collectors and the remainder of the system, allowing the full effect of the RS's factory performance headers to carry through to the valvetronic muffler without reintroducing back pressure at the link pipe junction. On a naturally aspirated platform at 9,000 RPM, every restriction point in the exhaust path has a measurable effect on top-end breathing and acoustic output. The race link pipe addresses the one restriction point the valvetronic muffler system alone does not cover.
About TNEER:
TNEER is built around a single engineering conviction: the exhaust system is not a peripheral component. It is the primary interface between the engine and the driver's experience of it. Every system TNEER produces is developed to bring out the true voice of the engine it is built for, improving exhaust flow and delivering a distinct tone that is mechanical, raw, and directly connected to the character of the car.
The manufacturing process that defines TNEER's fitment standard is their high-tech robotic pipe bending technology. Rather than fabricating exhaust routing from multiple welded sections, TNEER forms each tube from a single continuous piece, bending high-grade material to navigate the spatial constraints of each specific engine bay without the diameter reductions, flow disruptions, and structural inconsistencies that welded multi-piece construction introduces. The result is an exhaust system with continuous tube geometry, perfect fitment to the platform it is built for, and no compromises in the routing that precision bending makes unnecessary.
For enthusiasts who regard sound and performance as inseparable elements of the driving experience, TNEER engineers each system to deliver both from the first throttle input.
Note:
- Race linkpipe is not CARB certified and may not be legal for use on emissions controlled vehicles; intended for off road use only.
- ECU tuning may be required due to removal of factory catalytic converters.
