TNEER Valvetronic Exhaust System for Maserati MC20 / Cielo 2020+

The Maserati MC20 is built around a mid-mounted 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 producing 621 horsepower, the Nettuno engine developed entirely in-house by Maserati and featuring pre-chamber combustion technology derived directly from Formula 1. The Nettuno's twin-turbocharged pre-chamber V6 architecture produces a distinct acoustic and performance character that is specific to this engine and to no other production car currently available. The mid-engine carbon fiber monocoque chassis and tight rear packaging constraints create exhaust routing requirements specific to the MC20 platform, with turbocharger outlet positioning, underbody clearance, and rear fascia geometry all presenting routing challenges that demand precise tube geometry throughout the system. TNEER engineers this valvetronic system specifically for the MC20, with tube routing and mounting geometry developed to the exact mid-engine chassis layout of the platform.

Each section is formed from single-piece high-grade stainless-steel tubing using robotic pipe bending technology, producing continuous tube geometry throughout the system without the weld joints and flow disruptions of multi-segment construction. On a twin-turbocharged platform, exhaust gas pressure consistency downstream of the turbine outlets directly influences turbocharger efficiency and mid-range response under sustained load. The system installs to all factory mounting locations, requiring no structural modification and maintaining correct chassis alignment throughout.

The ECU-controlled valvetronic rear mufflers manage acoustic output through the MC20's existing vehicle architecture without secondary controllers or aftermarket modules. Valves closed, the system maintains a composed tone appropriate for road use while retaining the inherent character of the Nettuno V6 at partial throttle. Valves open, the full acoustic output of the twin-turbocharged pre-chamber V6 is unobstructed and responds directly to throttle input and engine speed. The MC20's Nettuno engine has a distinct acoustic signature at full throttle that is unlike any other production turbocharged V6 currently available, reflecting the pre-chamber combustion technology and the specific character of an engine developed from a clean sheet for this car alone. This system presents that character without the attenuation the factory exhaust imposes.

Two tip configurations are available to complete the system at the rear fascia. The dual silver tips provide a clean, high polish finish consistent with the MC20's Italian supercar aesthetic. The carbon fiber tips present an alternative for owners whose build direction calls for exposed carbon at the rear, complementing the MC20's carbon fiber monocoque construction and aerodynamic body surfaces.

Optional System Configurations:

For owners who want to address the complete exhaust path beyond the valvetronic muffler system, TNEER offers OPF delete pipes, race downpipes, and 200-cell sport downpipes as optional additions that progressively address every restriction point in the MC20's exhaust path.

  • The OPF delete pipes remove the Otto Particle Filter downstream of the downpipes, addressing a secondary restriction point in the MC20's exhaust path. The OPF represents a meaningful flow restriction that limits the full effect of any downpipe work from carrying through the system. Removing it in conjunction with either downpipe configuration allows the complete exhaust path from turbocharger outlet to muffler to operate without restriction at any point. These components are intended for closed course and off-road use.
  • The race downpipes remove the factory catalytic converters immediately downstream of the turbocharger outlets, where back pressure reduction has the most direct effect on turbine behavior, spool characteristics, and mid-range torque delivery. On the Nettuno V6's twin-turbocharged architecture, the relationship between downstream restriction and turbocharger efficiency is immediate and measurable at every point in the rev range. These components are intended for closed course and off-road use.
  • The 200-cell sport downpipes retain a high-flow catalytic substrate in place of the factory units, reducing restriction significantly while maintaining a level of emissions compliance appropriate for street-driven builds. For MC20 owners who require a balance between full-system performance and daily usability, the 200-cell specification delivers a substantive upgrade within a practical operating profile.

Optional Quantum Ceramic Coating:

For owners who want comprehensive thermal management across the complete exhaust system, TNEER offers Quantum Ceramic Coating applied to the entire system. On a mid-engine platform where the exhaust components operate in close proximity to structural and drivetrain elements within the MC20's confined rear section, full system thermal management addresses the heat exposure that the Nettuno V6's sustained high-output driving generates at every point in the system.

QCC handles 50% more heat than conventional ceramic coatings, maintaining thermal integrity across the complete system under sustained high-output driving conditions. Hardness and wear resistance exceed standard ceramic alternatives by 30%, ensuring coating integrity through repeated heat cycling on track and during spirited road use. At 50% lighter than a typical exhaust thermal shield, QCC delivers comprehensive thermal management without adding mass back into a system engineered for weight efficiency.

About TNEER:

TNEER is built around a single engineering conviction: the exhaust system is not a peripheral component. It is the primary interface between the engine and the driver's experience of it. Every system TNEER produces is developed to bring out the true voice of the engine it is built for, improving exhaust flow and delivering a distinct tone that is mechanical, raw, and directly connected to the character of the car.

The manufacturing process that defines TNEER's fitment standard is their high-tech robotic pipe bending technology. Rather than fabricating exhaust routing from multiple welded sections, TNEER forms each tube from a single continuous piece, bending high-grade material to navigate the spatial constraints of each specific engine bay without the diameter reductions, flow disruptions, and structural inconsistencies that welded multi-piece construction introduces. The result is an exhaust system with continuous tube geometry, perfect fitment to the platform it is built for, and no compromises in the routing that precision bending makes unnecessary.

For enthusiasts who regard sound and performance as inseparable elements of the driving experience, TNEER engineers each system to deliver both from the first throttle input.

Note:

  • Downpipes and OPF delete pipes are not CARB certified and may not be legal for use on emissions controlled vehicles; intended for off road use only.
  • ECU tuning may be required due to removal of factory catalytic converters and Otto Particle Filter.
