Tillett Racing C1 Seat
The Tillett C1 competition seat marks a new evolution from Tillett Racing Seats. It builds on the proven B6 Screamer design while adding integrated side impact head support. The compact footprint stays the same, which helps fit tight race cockpits. You get excellent feedback through the chassis, even without lower padding. Peripheral vision remains clear, which matters in wheel-to-wheel racing. The sculpted shell lets you sit lower in the car. This improves legroom compared to many competition seats. Shoulder areas stay open, so steering input feels unrestricted. The seat shape supports your body without forcing your posture.
The C1 shell is extremely rigid. Under impact, it absorbs energy in a controlled way to reduce injury risk. This keeps you correctly positioned in the cockpit during an accident. High rigidity also helps maintain harness tension and proper HANS device alignment. The uncovered shell option works well in harsh racing environments where durability matters. An XL version is available for drivers over 100 kg with waist sizes above 36 inches. All C1 seats use Tillett’s in house molding process for consistent laminate quality and long-term reliability. Each seat comes standard with three Dinamica suede headrest pads. Optional Dinamica seat and back cushions are available at additional cost.
Seat weight starts at 7.1 kg. With the suede cushion and back panels installed, weight is 8.1 kg. You can choose a 41 cm or 44 cm front width. Both share the same internal dimensions. The C1 41 is designed for restricted width cockpits between the transmission tunnel and door sill. XL models include the C1 44 XL for narrow cockpits and the C1 47 XL for cars with more available space. The 44 XL and 47 XL feature an uncut rolled composite edge. This improves entry and exit speed and creates a smoother edge finish. If your cockpit allows it, this configuration is recommended. All versions are FIA homologated to 8855 1999 standards through FIA.
