Eventuri Black Carbon Fiber Intake System for Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 / ZR1X Coupe (C8) 2025+

The Eventuri C8 ZR1 intake system is not a bolt-on filter upgrade. It is a ground-up re-engineering of the LT7 twin-turbo intake architecture, developed through computational fluid dynamics analysis, iterative prototyping, and controlled dyno validation. The result is a system that addresses the volumetric efficiency limitations of the OEM design and delivers gains that are rare for an intake system alone.

Dyno-verified mid-range results on a stock C8 ZR1 show increases of 110whp and 108ft-lb at approximately 5,300 RPM. Peak gains of 36whp and 101ft-lb were recorded under controlled testing conditions with stabilized temperatures. These numbers hold up even at higher ambient post-installation temperatures, which speaks directly to the thermal management engineering built into the system.

The Core Problem With the OEM Design

The factory airbox on the ZR1 is derived from the LT6 Z06 platform and becomes increasingly restrictive when paired with the higher-output LT7 engine. Compounding this is the factory trunk panel, which physically constrains intake volume and limits what is possible within the OEM architecture. Eventuri addressed both limitations by designing a high-volume intake system unconstrained by the factory panel, paired with enlarged turbo inlet tubes offering approximately 30% greater internal volume compared to OEM.

This reduction in restriction lowers pressure drop across the intake tract, allowing both turbochargers to reach target boost levels more efficiently and earlier in the RPM range.

Patented Venturi Housing Technology

The structural centerpiece of the system is Eventuri's patented double Venturi filter housing, which merges dual airflow paths into a centralized high-volume chamber. As air transitions through the housing, the gradually reducing cross-sectional area accelerates velocity while preserving laminar flow characteristics. The principle is analogous to a velocity stack: efficient delivery, minimized drag, and consistent charge quality to each turbocharger.

The MAF sections and intake tract are optimized through CFD to transition turbulent upstream air into a smooth, linear flow path before it reaches the turbos, ensuring repeatable performance across the full RPM range.

Turbo Tube Redesign

The factory turbo inlet tubes were identified as a primary restriction point. Eventuri's replacement tubes increase internal volume by 30% and incorporate a more progressive curvature that maintains consistent cross-sectional area throughout the flow path. Under load and during mid-range acceleration, the improvement in turbo efficiency is measurable on the dyno and perceptible in the seat.

Thermal Management

100% pre-preg carbon fiber inlet ducts channel ambient air directly from the side vents into the intake system. A neoprene gasket and multi-point mounting system seal the ducts to the filter housing, preventing heat soak from the engine bay under sustained driving conditions. Combined with sealed inlet flanges and flexible hose connections, the system maintains a consistent cold air supply regardless of driving scenario.

Clear Polycarbonate Trunk Panel

To accommodate the increased intake volume, the factory trunk panel is replaced with a precision-formed clear polycarbonate unit. This maintains full functionality of the Coupe's removable roof storage while providing an unobstructed view of the intake system from above, transforming what is typically a hidden component into a visual statement.
