AMS Performance OMEGA 14 Turbo Kit for Nissan R35 GT-R (2009-2019)
Since 2009, most stock-style turbo upgrades for the R35 GTR have followed the same formula. Use the OEM turbofolds. Machine the housings to fit bigger aftermarket CHRAs. It works, but it comes with tradeoffs. The factory manifold is small and designed for OEM boost levels. Push it harder, and the weak points show fast. A lot of current stock-style kits suffer from poor boost control or serious boost creep. Some creep so much that running 93 octane isn’t safe, forcing owners to use race fuel all the time. When the 2020 GT-R came out, our AMS Snailworks Engineering Team saw an opportunity. We designed our own cast two-piece manifold and turbine housing to match the OEM layout but fix its flaws. This removed the need for core charges and long machining times while improving performance where the stock parts fall short.
